This steel replacement gas tank sump is installed in the bottom of fuel tank in order to catch any dirt, debris, or water that may be present in the tank allowing contaminants to be removed before having a chance to enter engine. Fits:

A little extra length helps a LOT!

Trying to re-hang the rear leaf spring with an add-a-leaf helper on my 67 commando wouldn't have been possible without the extra length on these u-bolts.
