Jeepsterman is a great company to buy from. Very prompt shipment, and VERY customer oriented.
The only thing I can say that is the slightest negative about the motors is the need to trim threaded tube and the inner rod so that the guards can be mounted over them.
But this is really quite a minor issue.
Jeepsterman will be my go to shop whenever possible.
Item was delivered quickly and shipping allowed for excellent tracking. Have not yet installed the part but the part was exactly what I ordered and will help complete my 1950 restoration
After talking with the guys at Jeepsterman, the recommended the Hi Torque Starter motor. They were extremely knowledgeable about my 1948 CJ2A. I took their advice and had the starter in a matter of days. Installed it and all I can say is Wow! What a difference. My jeep starts instantly. I wish I had done this 3 years ago! Thanks guys.
I have later model chome wheels with baby moons. The hubcaps are held on by three nodes with grooves. The new hub caps fit very loose. So, I ordered a set of clips and after install the hub caps were still loose. I fabricated my own clips and they work very well. Ill have to return the clips. The hub caps look great, thanks
I purchased the grill for my 1979 Jeep CJ5 in November of 2021 as I noticed that the current grill was showing signs of rust. I knew it was going to be a job to remove the old grill and get the new grill painted and installed, so I waited for something else to go wrong with the Jeep and it did, the water pump destroyed itself, so a good time to tackle the entire front end. I got the old grill off and took the new one to a body shop to have painted, which just so you know was a bit over $500.00 to have primed and painted and the new grill had a fair amount of dents in it and the body shop did not fill in the dents, so the new grill looks like it has been through a hail storm, but nothing I can do about that now. Word to all out there, the new grills need some major body work done to get them to perfection. The grill is made by OMIX and I believe comes from Vietnam. When I got the grill back from the body shop, I went to fit the grill and it fits really well, with the CJ5 fenders, so this was a plus. A couple of other problems, besides the dents, is that the original hood securing mechanism will not fit in the new grill, as the holes are not in the correct position and the grill contains an indentation that should not be there, preventing the latching mechanism from fitting. Also, the holes for the rubber pumpers that the hood rests on, a coupe of the holes in the grill are too large, so the pumpers will not secure. In closing, the new grill is not perfect, but if a person knows about the faults ahead of time, the problems with the dents could be rectified with some putty, before paint.
