This is an upgrade from the OE Style bushing 944872. This bushing has a longer metal shoulder and keeps the rubber bushing from wearing prematurely. We use this bushing in all of our new springs. This is for the 2" wide front spring found on the 1970 and later Jeepster Commando and Commando. Fits:

  • 1970-1971 Jeepster Commando.
  • 1972-1973 Jeep Commando.
  • 1977-1991 Wagoner and J Series Trucks, front spring, front eye and rear spring, rear eye.

Note: If you have a 1970 please measure the width of your spring and ensure it is 2" wide. This bushing measures 1-1/4″ OD x 2-15/16″ long.

Good product, different application

Quality of part is solid. Delivery was faster than expected. I used this part on a Jeepster with an automatic transmission. The parts were listed for a Jeepster with a manual, but photos and lengths matched my vehicle. Hard to know what parts and mods have been made to a 53 year old vehicle .
