We’ve brought back another hard-to-find original Willys part—the carburetor heat shield! These are made by Vintage Jeeper. If you’ve ever battled carburetor heat soak, you know how frustrating it can be. On vintage Jeeps, the carburetor sits directly above the exhaust manifold, which transfers a tremendous amount of heat upward. Flat-style shields don’t solve the problem—they trap heat under the carburetor and turn into a hot plate. The original Willys design used angled sides to redirect heat away, and that’s exactly what we’ve recreated—only stronger and better.

  • Made from 300-series stainless steel for long life and excellent corrosion resistance
  • Extra-thick construction compared to the factory version for improved rigidity and sealing
  • Correct bore opening for unrestricted airflow
  • Carburetor Compatibility
  • Designed for the Carter WO carburetor
  • Works with our Weber 32/36 conversion kits
  • Compatible with Solex carburetors (requires a diffuser gasket, sold separately)

  • Stainless steel heat shield
  • Flat installation gasket
  • Installation Instructions
  • Place the supplied flat gasket on the intake manifold
  • Position the heat shield on top
