Universal accelerator pedal and throttle cable. This firewall mounted allows you to convert your gas pedal to a cable style throttle instead of the hard mounted linkage. This kit is more compatible with carburetor conversions like the Weber carburetor. Universal cast aluminum pedals are fully adjustable and have a 6-7/8" arm. The throttle cable in 29 1/2" in length. Will fit any Willys or Jeep 1941-1971 when converting to a throttle cable.Β

Instructions: At the top of the pedal mouting base you will cut a slit in the base plate so you can slide the throttle cable into the top hole of the base plate. The throttle cable has an end fitting that will slide onto the top of the pedal hole. You will need a cotter pin and clip to connect the cable fitting to the pedal.Β

Specs:

  • Throttle cable is 29 1/2" in length; has a bracket that sits flush on the firewall. The throttle cable does not include a screw for mounting the throttle cable base plate to the fireware. We recommend using a self tapping screw for easiest installation of securing that plastic base plate to the firewall.
  • Pedal mounting base is 5-1/16” tall, 1-1/8” wide, and ¼” thick with 3 mounting hole options
  • Mounting surface to center of pivot point is ½”
  • Hardware for the base plate of the pedal is not included. We recommend drilling the holes out to 1/4" and using 1/4" nuts and bolts
  • Upper arm pivot hole to center of cable attachment hole is 3¼”
  • Lower pedal arm is 8-1/8” from pivot point center to end of arm and has 4 mount holes for the pedal pad
  • Pedal pad has non slip diamond pattern and at bottom hole on arm extends past arm 1”
  • Pedal pad is 1-1/8” wide, 2-5/8” tall, and ¼” thick
  • Lower arm has 4 mount holes to change angle with the upper arm
