New reproduction steering column for the CJ-5 and CJ-6. This US made heavy duty steering column uses a .065 “ wall thickness compared to the OE .032" for superior strength. Constructed of 4130 Chromoly material and the welded mounting bracket is 10 gauge compared to 13 gauge. Includes stainless steel screws for horn contact installed and also includes upper and lower bushings. Finished in satin black urethane finish paint but is compatible with any color urethane. Fits:

  • 1972-1975 Jeep CJ-5 and CJ-6

Good product, different application

Quality of part is solid. Delivery was faster than expected. I used this part on a Jeepster with an automatic transmission. The parts were listed for a Jeepster with a manual, but photos and lengths matched my vehicle. Hard to know what parts and mods have been made to a 53 year old vehicle .
