I just installed my new gas tank. Installation was easy. Everything fit. The fuel line barb fitting is sized to be able to fit either a 5/16 or 1/4” flexible fuel line, so the 5/16, which is My ’55 Willys Wagon’s original fuel line size, is not as snug as it should be. Still, a band clamp tightens it up ok. I am a little concerned about whether the cork gasket will seal the fuel gauge sender to the tank well enough to prevent leaks, as the plastic mounting area was not perfectly flat. The fuel pickup is just a copper tube soldered into the 90* fuel line fitting, which is held in place with a band clamp. It will work, but I would have liked to see a screen sock on the end of the pickup tube and a more solid pass-through fitting for the pickup fitting. The sending unit is held in place with self-tapping screws going into plastic, so don't over-tighten them. Overall, I think it is a good value. It installs easily, it fits, it doesn’t rust. I just wish they had made it a larger than stock capacity. 15 gallons is tiny for an off-road vehicle.
