Perfect fit and operation, lubrication was light but adequate
Excellent quality part, the 1953 original had no plastic sheath like the new one. For period correct accuracy it might have been possible to strip off the outer layer.
The rubber bushing for the remote shift, took care of all of my shifting problems. I could not easily shift into second gear. After 5 minutes of getting the old bushing out and the new one in, I'm happy to say, have my Jeeps turn now shifts flawlessly.
It said it fit 72-78 model years. Mine is an 81’ and it looked right in the photo but was physically longer. Not a huge deal and I was able to return them. Great customer service and all of the other parts I purchased worked great.
Order this kit for my 68 Jeep jeepster Commando. Front part of linkage was correct, part the hooks to pitman arm is not correct. I was able to modify using shims and end cap off worn system and made it work .
