Want an extra capacity fuel tank for your gas guzzling CJ? Check out this 21-Gallon plastic fuel tank designed to replace a 15-Gallon fuel tank; hangs 4″ lower than the original tank. Includes new sending unit, top strap, lock ring, O-ring, and skid plate extensions. These tanks are made in the USA. Dimensions 23" x 16" x 15". This does not include a skid plate. Fits:

  • Jeep CJ-5 (1972-1975) w/ adding skid plate.
  • Jeep CJ-5 (1976-1977) w/ factory skid plate.
  • Jeep Commando (1972-1973) w/ adding skid plate.

Note: This tank will fit the 1972-1975 Jeep CJ and 1972-1973 Jeep Commando but requires the 15 gal. OEM style skid plate and end straps for installation. The original 15 gallon metal tank was bolted directly to the frame of the CJ and Commando.

Bed steps

The pieces are well made and fit well. That said, I was a bit disappointed that the metal wasn't straighter. I'm doing a show truck and had to do some work to make them look well. I'm Very happy to have found the scarce parts, thank you.

A little extra length helps a LOT!

Trying to re-hang the rear leaf spring with an add-a-leaf helper on my 67 commando wouldn't have been possible without the extra length on these u-bolts.
