The pieces are well made and fit well. That said, I was a bit disappointed that the metal wasn't straighter. I'm doing a show truck and had to do some work to make them look well. I'm Very happy to have found the scarce parts, thank you.
Trying to re-hang the rear leaf spring with an add-a-leaf helper on my 67 commando wouldn't have been possible without the extra length on these u-bolts.
My overdrive shifter on 2 of my Jeeps was just sitting out there with no cover. These rubber boots are perfect to cover the floor area around them and dress it up a bit!
the pan gasket for the 48 CJ2A was good quality, cleanly cut and fit as perfectly as one would expect. Except one small detail: It is only about half as thick as an old Victor! This was a small problem, easily remedied. You use a die grinder and cutoff wheel to cut off a bottom protrusion from the front plate which cuts into the gasket. This cut into the old Victor gasket and it held for a long time, but if you prune off that extra steel, the new gasket holds just as good. Use a little black Permatex RTV sealer at this three-sided joint.
