    Alternator install

It worked great. The provided bracket lined up perfectly and the alternator and provided longer belt finished the install. It worked as advertised.

The kit is well constructed and works great with exceptions.
[1] The belt tension bracket interferes with the oil filter line at the timing gear cover. I had to replace the oil filter hose with a steel brake line that would allow a 90-degree bend close to the fitting.
[2] Because of the bracket being made straight it hit the top of the alternator preventing proper belt tension. Again, I had to modify the bracket by incorporating my old, curved generator bracket with the new one.
[3] THE SOLUTION: Eliminate the weld on spacer. Manufacture a new bracket with a double offset bend and a curve to allow proper belt tension.
NOTE: I would use a thin metal prototype to assure proper function before manufacturing the NEW bracket from a heavier stock. Except for the useless bracket provided, the kit is definitely a FIVE STAR.
PS: Might want to include a ROADMASTER 690 Single Park Light Diode.
