"Snuffy": Original '49 Jeep

Hey I'm Scott Davenport out of Lexington in North Carolina. Here's my Jeep "Snuffy". We bought him out of a- found him in a barn in North Georgia about 10 years ago with about 4 in of dust on him. He's 100% original still six cy-- six volts. And we just put some love into them and just keep them rolling.

So you really haven't had to do hardly anything huh?

Nope, we have not done nothing to it but maintenance, oil change and normal gear...

Nice!

... Gear oil and tuneup and stuff like that.

That's not bad! What's this for?

Did some distributed work and stuff. This is for our other '49 Jeep we have.

Nice.

We're storing it.

Man it doesn't look like there's hardly any rust or really anything on this thing either!

No, the only rust we really have was when we got it. Most of them are rusted out. Just this back corner was the only place that uh was really rusted out.

Okay so is this-- this is you right here?

And that's mine as well.

Okay.

It's a replica of uh World War II high rail that they used over in Europe. I use it with my seven and a half scale railroads we go to.

Do you go to the Great Picnic?

No I don't haven't been there but we run them.

It's at a railroad museum.

Yeah, no we we run them from uh Florida to Michigan on tracks in between and stuff.

Like all the way?

Yeah we take them down and run them to small tracks.

Oh! I'm thinking like, from Indiana to Michigan. I was like that's a long way!

No no no.

Yeah I'm dumb.

7 and a half gauge railroading. Our main head, our main track is in cast South Carolina a place called Dreams Come True with our home track.

Oh! Well look me up I'm in uh North Augusta South Carolina.

Yep, we will!

Cool, hey appreciate it.

No problem. Thank you.
